Renaissance Music Press is a specialty music publisher located in the suburbs of Greenville, South Carolina. We publish traditional sacred choral music for all voicing options and all skill levels. Our focus is on musical compositions which were once revered and renowned but which may have fallen into little use. By republishing these classic compositions, we hope to restore and preserve their place in the annals of sacred music.
About the Founder
F. William Sherrill is a graduate of Erskine College, the University of Southern California College, and North Greenville University. A former flight officer and intelligence specialist for the U. S. Navy, Bill also spent a number of years in the field of law before devoting his full attention to music composition and choral conducting. Passionate about music from his earliest days, Bill has performed with numerous oratorio and symphony choruses through the years and has served as director of music in church settings. He is a member of the Society of Composers and the American Society of Composers and Publishers. His work has been performed by church choirs and choral ensembles around the country.
Our featured music selections this fall are three original works by Bill. Ave Verum Corpus was premiered in October, 2007, by the New York Viruoso Singers. Requiem was one of six finalists in the 2007 Ithaca College Composition Festival; and Remember was recently premiered by the Spartanburg (SC) Festival Chorus.
